The First Friday events for May are coming up!
When you come to check out the 5th Grade Invitational Art Show upstairs in BCAC from 4-6 pm on May 3rd, head downstairs to Freaxis Studios for a 10 minute shadow puppet show: “Jack, the Bean, and the Mean.”
Shows will be on-going from 4-5 pm!
Fortuna’s show is free and open to the public, with donations gladly accepted.
Bring your “boos” for the Ogre and “yays” for Jack and support local puppetry!

Freaxis Studio presents THE FREAXIS VARIETY SHOW on April 5th at 5:00 pm!
Fortuna Puppet Theatre will present a short-short show based on a folktale, “Nail Soup,” followed by Gwenfrewi Burger, songstress.
This event is free and open to the public in the basement of the historic Carnegie Library in Bemidji, Minnesota!
Watch for FORTUNA’s shadows on the back of a bike this summer in Bemidji. . . YEAH!

The studio-mates of Freaxis Studios present ”THE FREAXIS VARIEY SHOW !” for their First Friday event, March 1, 2013.
Our walls will be full of good stuff by Luke “Skidmark” Holden, Amy Borgman, Ashley Buck, and Gege Holden. Performances include slammed and drummed poems by Julia Oxenreider, Fortuna Puppet Theatre’s ”An UnFORTUNAte Slip,” and something of note by Gwenfrewi.
We’ll be open at 4:00 with performances from 4:30 to 5:15. And remember Julia’s content is for ages 14 and up!
